Board of Directors and Committees

Mission
As in other American private schools and non-profit corporations, the Board of Directors is responsible for the entire organization, including finance, long-term planning, development, real estate, and other business.

Composition
The Board is composed of 17 voting members and four ex-officio non-voting members. The voting members consist of 9 elected parents with three year terms, 6 Board appointed members with three year terms, and two elected staff members with one year terms.  The ex-officio members are the current French Consul General, the Head of the Chancellery, the Cultural Attaché, and the school’s headmaster.

Organization
The Board of Directors meets eight times per year. The Board has several standing committees which usually meet monthly and report to the Board. A list of the current Board committees and members is available by clicking on Board Committees.

Elections for new parent-elected directors occurs in May or June on a date set by the Board. The Board also convenes an annual meeting of the membership in October.
