Mission
As in other American private schools, the Board of Directors is responsible for the general and long-term policies of real estate, fundraising, business and financial matters.

Composition
The 20-member board is composed of elected parents and staff members, honorary members from the community-at-large, plus representatives of the French government : the Consul General, the Head of the Chancellery, and the Cultural Attaché. The senior administration personnel (Principal, Vice Principal, Business Manager and Director of Communications) and the Representative of the French Population Abroad also attend the meetings, however, they do not have a vote.

Procedure
The Board of Directors meets monthly (usually in French). Once approved, minutes are posted on the school bulletin boards at both campuses. The board has several committees, such as Long Term Planning, Real Estate, Finance, Fundraising, Marketing, etc. Twice a year, the Board of Directors organizes a meeting for all parents.

Committees
Parents are invited to participate on these committees. It is not necessary to be a member of the Board to do so. The request can be made to the Chair of the Committee.

Elections are held at the Annual Meeting which takes place every year in October. Participation of all parents in the election, by voting in person or by proxy, is fundamental to the functioning of the school.
