School Project

What is the "Projet d'établissement" or School Project?
The School Project is developed by the Administration, in conjunction with the teaching staff, and defines the educational directions and general guidelines to follow for the upcoming three years. In October of each year the team meets to determine the specific projects to be implemented in order to help the students in particular areas (i.e. French, Science, Arts, etc.) or to improve an aspect of school life (i.e. communications, etc.).

These actions complement the curriculum established by the French National Ministry of Education. The projects are then partially financed by the school and partially by the Agency for International French Education (AEFE).

Introduction
The School Project sets priority goals based upon examination of local requirements. Characteristics of a socio-economic, cultural, and family context determine the student's relationship to his/her academic future.

The projects are guided taking into account fundamental data, results of assessments in 5th and 6th, the school's student guidance policy, cultural integration, and command of the language. The targeted goals are entirely consistent with the French national level, without neglecting the need to adapt to specific local needs.
