Admission Procedure 2009-2010

APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR WILL BE ACCEPTED BEGINNING APRIL 1st, 2009

Lycée Français La Pérouse, the International French School, is happy to welcome you to its school community. The Director of Admissions and staff are always available to answer your questions regarding our school and its programs.

Pre-enrollment
Please fill out and return the following documents. It does not guarantee admission to our school but is the first step in our admissions process. You can return the documents by mail or bring them along to your first scheduled appointment with the Admissions Office.

Application for Admission (front and back of form must be filled out, signed and dated)
• Letter of Intent describing your reasons and motivations for selecting the Lycée
• $100 filing fee per student (a fee that is non-refundable and non-deductible from the school fees) or 85 Euros, by check only.
• Photocopy of US birth certificate, passport (with current visa) and/or "livret de famille"
• One ID picture and one family picture per child (with name of applicant on back)
• Vaccination records (child’s name to be listed on each page)
• Copies of school records/Student Evaluation or grades from the previous two years and current year if possible
Your application will only be activated after reception of the $100 filing fee.
Deadline to apply for the 2009-2010 school year is January 15, 2009 (all documents must have been received by that date)

To schedule your first visit of our school, we invite you to email the admissions office for a reservation to attend one of our Open Houses (admissions@lelycee.org). Mini-group tours are also offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 9:30am, on either the Ashbury or the Corte Madera Primary campuses. Registration is madatory, please check for dates (campus visits) and email at admissions@lelycee.org.
A private meeting with the Admissions Director will then be scheduled prior to any decision.

Acceptance
The Lycée reserves the right to select students, based on their records cards and space availability. When a student is accepted, parents are notified by mail (early March). They will have a limited time period to return the enrollment agreement, and pay the fees mentioned below. If they do not comply within that time frame, the space will be made available to other applicants.

Registration
A space will be secured for the student only after payment of the fees and reception of the documents listed below:

• $1,000 entrance fee (one-time fee per child; non refundable and non deductible from tuition fees)
• 10% of tuition fees as deposit, per student's space to reserve (non refundable fee, deductible from tuition fees)
• The Enrollment Agreement Form (upon signing the enrollment agreement, you agree to fulfill your financial obligation and pay the full year tuition.)
• "FACTS" Financial Plan form or the full payment of the tuition fees
• Fully completed Licensing package for Preschoolers and Pre-Ks

A list of grade specific documents will be mailed to you at a later date. These documents will have to be received by the Admissions Office prior to your child's first day at the Lycée.

Re-enrollment
During the second trimester, an Enrollment Agreement Form will be sent to the parents of attending students. A 10% of tuition fees check will reserve a space for your child. This non-refundable amount will be credited towards the following year's tuition.

If your child will not be attending the school, the parents are to notify the Admissions Office, in writing, so as to reduce any delay in obtaining his/her written exeat and file transfer.
