Admission Procedure 2010-2011

Lycée Français La Pérouse, the International French School, is happy to welcome you to its school community. The Director of Admissions and staff are always available to answer your questions regarding our school and its programs.

Pre-enrollment
In order to apply for your child, the following documents need to be submitted to the Admissison Office as early as possible, and
before the January 15, 2010 deadline* applicable for the 2010-2011 school year (all documents must have been received by that
date):
Application for Admission (front and back of form must be filled out, signed and dated)
• $100**, or €85, processing fee per student (non-refundable and non-deductible from the school fees)
• Letter of Intend of the Applicant’s parents
• Letter of Intend of the candidate, for High School applications only
• Photocopy of US birth certificate, passport (with current visa) and/or "livret de famille"
• One ID picture (max size : 2.5in x 3.5in) with name of applicant on the back
• One family picture per child (max size : 5in x 7in)
• Immunization records (child’s name should appear on each page)
• Copies of school records/student evaluation or grades from the previous two years and current year if possible.

* In case of professional relocation of the family in the Bay Area during the summer 2010, a derogation can be issued. Please contact the Admissions office as soon as possible

** Your application will not be activated without payment of the processing fee.


Deadline to apply for the 2010-2011 school year was January 15, 2010 (all documents must have been received by that date)

You can return the documents by mail, by email (before postal mailing) or bring them along to your first scheduled appointment with the Admissions Office.

To schedule your first visit of our school, we invite you to email the admissions office for a reservation to attend one of our Open Houses (admissions@lelycee.org). Mini-group tours are also offered at 9:30am, on either the Ashbury or the Corte Madera Primary campuses. Registration is madatory, please check for dates (campus visits) and email at admissions@lelycee.org.

Upon reception of your complete application, we will contact you to schedule a private meeting with our Admissions Director. Your
child is expected to attend that meeting. In addition, an observation session- in class, in a group or individually- may be scheduled
prior to any decision made by the Admissions Committee. Letters of admissions decisions have been mailed by mid March 2010. Please
note that submitting an application does not guaranty admission to our school.

Acceptance
The Lycée reserves the right to accept students based on their application and on space availability. After decisions of the Admissions
Comittee, you will be notified by mail of your child’s status. If your he/she is accepted, you will be asked to return the enrollment
agreement and applicable fees listed below, in a given timeframe . After that date, your space will be made available to other
applicants.

Registration 2010-2011
Your child’s enrollment will only be secured after payment of the fees and receipt of the documents listed below:
• $1,100 enrollment fee (one-time fee per child; non refundable and non deductible from tuition fees)
• 10% of tuition fees per student (non refundable deposit, deductible from tuition fees)
• The Enrollment Agreement Form (upon signing the enrollment agreement, you agree to fulfill your financial
obligations and pay the full year tuition)
• Enrollment in the FACTS Financial Plan for the full payment of the tuition fees or monthly installments.
Additional documents will be mailed to you at a later date that will need to be returned to the Admissions Office prior to your child's
first day at the Lycée.

Re-enrollment
During the second trimester, an Enrollment Agreement Form will be sent to the parents of attending students. A 10% of tuition fees check will reserve a space for your child. This non-refundable amount will be credited towards the following year's tuition.

If your child will not be attending the school, the parents are to notify the Admissions Office, in writing, so as to reduce any delay in obtaining his/her written exeat and file transfer.

 

APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR WILL BE ACCEPTED ONLY BEGINNING APRIL 1st, 2010
