Every year, Gr6 meet their peers from the Ashbury and Sausalito locations on their new, Ortega campus. A 4-day integration trip to beautiful Lake Tahoe is designed to help them better connect and feel integrated. An amazing way to foster unity among students and to explore the natural beauty and historical heritage of the area through various activities.
La Petite Ecole students have been partaking in a weekly ritual: each week they pick a color. They then dress using clothes of that color, and engage in an array of activities in that palette to learn the different colors of the rainbow.
Last week, La Petite Ecole embraced the color red. Read more about the educational advantages of this fun color-focused approach for our youngest students.
At LFSF, keeping our students safe is our priority and their wellness, our focus. During the month of October, our teams, led by our wellness coordinator, work on bringing awareness to the importance of promoting wellbeing and preventing self-harm. Making sure that we promote empathy and dialog is essential in this approach.
Gérard DIGGELMANN, distinguished drama teacher, will be teaching a masterclass to LFSF and studio TLF students in October.

He is known for his puns (and kindness).
Emily and Ryan are proud LFSF parents. After researching their options, they decided to enroll their oldest son, Andrew, at LFSF @SAU. He is now in Gr2/CE1 and his brother is following his footstep thanks to the Happy Play program. Besides bilingualism, Ryan and Emily enjoy the way their children learn to be independent and organized. They both are very involved in the school's life as room parent (her) and Board Trustee (him). If you don't know them yet, we invite you to learn more about their story.
Lola has a passion for animals and cars: she volunteers in an animal shelter with her mom, and enjoys working on cars with her dad. Next year she will study Mechanical Engineering and Design at Northeastern University in Boston.
Looking back on her LFSF journey, she talks about her DEI work and her recent service learning trip to Vietnam. So long Lola! Enjoy the next step!
Aidann is a Lifer. Her non-French-speaking parents enrolled her at LFSF when she was 3 years old. She's known in the school for being a great singer and a part of the String Band. Music is her passion but she's also interested in Tech. That's why next year, she's going to study at UCLA to major in Music Industry and minor in Data Science.
Way to go Aidann! We wish you the very best!
This year, Juliette arrived in San Francisco and at LFSF. Since then, she has made a lot of friends and one of them encouraged her to try the theater option- she loved it! Next year, she's going to London to study Marketing and Business at ESCP. She then wants to pursue a career in fashion and luxury. Be sure to stay in touch, Juliette!
