CONVERSATIONS THAT MATTER: From Middle to High School, and From Adolescence to Adulting

CONVERSATIONS THAT MATTER

From Middle to High School, and From Adolescence to Adulting

April 08, 2025, from 6-7:30pm

On Zoom

This final presentation of the year will focus on navigating the critical transitions from middle to high school and from adolescence to adulthood. We will explore how parents can support their children in taking care of themselves by fostering autonomy and agency through a strengths-based approach and “appreciative inquiry.” We’ll dive into essential life skills and discuss practical ways to develop them at home and at school. The presentation will also cover strategies for helping teens make informed and safer choices, enhance their critical thinking, and manage the challenges of these pivotal years. Additionally, we’ll share information on resources available at school, including health education, and highlight community support that can aid in this journey.
