4th Grade project | Diversity in the Arts

In order to further support the LFSF's Diversity and Inclusion Initiative, Gr4 students are focusing on diversity in the Arts as part of a large class project.

In this context, with their English teacher, Nathalie Leiseing, they will also be looking into how the pandemic has affected artists across the United States.

They will be learning about The Dance Theater of Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and researching local artists.

On FEB 10, Dancer/Choreographer Shamel Pitts from New York City met all 42 ASH Gr4 students virtually for a 45-60 mins conversation. It was a captivating moment, as students have impressed their teacher by the quality of the questions they've prepared in anticipation for this event.
