LFSF at the SF Bilingual Fair

The second edition of the SF Bilingual Fair on Saturday was the demonstration of a real growing interest of Bay Area parents for bilingualism and bilingual education. The main actors of bilingual education were present, and LFSF was leading the way, as the main sponsor and presenter of the event.

The LFSF conference, given by Ashley Chung of Dr. Ellen Bialystok's Lifespan Cognition and Development Lab (York University) presented the latest scientific findings on the effect bilingualism on cognitive development.

Beyond science, it is the success of our students that is the best validation of the quality of our programs. Our Head of School was therefore particularly proud when the French consul announced that both Essay awards went to LFSF students: Marguerite Guilbert, Gr10 and Hanna Partovi, Gr8 who won the essay competition for Middle and High School. Bravo to both of them!

Emmanuel TEXIER is receiving the prize for Hanna Partovi, Gr8

Marguerite Guilbert, Gr10, is the winner for the HS category. Mr. LEBRUN DAMIENS, French consul, is presenting her with her award and prizes.

Ashley CHUNG is talking about the cognitive benefits of bilingualism
