2017 First Lego League at LFSF
Nov 19, 2017
The event
FIRST LEGO League challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers.
During the 2017 season, teams had to choose and solve a real-world problem related to the theme of the year: Hydro Dynamics. Their challenge was also to build, test and program an autonomous robot to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game. Throughout their experience, teams had to demonstrate Core Values celebrating discovery, teamwork, and gracious professionalism.
This year, for the first time, LFSF was hosting the event. More than 350 people came to our Ortega campus to attend the competition and support their students. The auditorium was full, students were excited and a small army of volunteer parents were there to guarantee the success of this event.
Meet the teams
12 teams were competing this year from various schools of the San Francisco Bay Area. Amongst these teams, LFSF was featuring 3 great teams: the Frogs, Not Miserables and the Musketeers.
