Develop Real Leadership Skills This Summer with Lycée's CIT Program

Are you looking for a meaningful and engaging summer experience for your middle/high schooler?

We are excited to introduce the 2026 Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program at the Lycée, designed specifically for students in Grades 7 through 9 who are eager to develop leadership skills while contributing to the vibrant life of our summer camps.

The CIT program offers students a unique opportunity to grow as young leaders in a dynamic French-speaking camp environment. Throughout the summer, participants work alongside camp counselors and teachers, helping to support younger campers while learning how to guide small groups, facilitate activities, and contribute to the overall camp experience.

Through this program, students will:

  • Develop leadership and communication skills
  • Build confidence working with younger children
  • Learn how to plan and lead engaging activities
  • Strengthen teamwork, adaptability, and responsibility
  • Gain valuable experience in a supportive mentoring environment

Before camp begins, CITs will be invited to participate in a special preparation session designed to help them succeed in their roles.

CITs play an important role in shaping the atmosphere of our camps, particularly through creative projects and leadership support across our Ashbury and Sausalito campuses.

This program is designed to be both fun and formative, giving students the opportunity to take on real responsibility while remaining fully engaged in the joyful spirit of camp.

But don't just take our word for it, here's what current CITs have to say:

"You learn stuff about the little kids and also about yourself.'" — George, Gr7, French Track

"I didn't expect to be kind of good with little kids. I expected to be less patient than that. But I learned that I could take care of little kids and have fun with them." — Diane, Gr7, French Track

"I was really happy I participated in the CIT program, and I'm doing it next year because it was really fun." — Diane, Gr7, French Track

Two Molieres for FIN FIN ET FIN

The show 'Fin, Fin, Fin,' which graced our TLF stage in March, just won two Molières, France's most prestigious theatre awards: Best Comedy and Best Male Revelation for Lancelot Cherer. Our artistic director Frédéric Patto was there to celebrate! He spotted some familiar faces: among them, Alex Vizorek, who opened our season on the TLF stage, was the evening's MC! Bravo!
