Eloquence Contest - Ambassadeurs, Ambassadrices en herbes 2025

Kudos to students who participated in the Ambassadeurs Ambassadrices En Herbe, eloquence contest!

Our students participated in the AAEH contest

The theme of the 2025 edition is 'Francophonie: A Journey Through Time and Space'. Our students tackled this challenging topic with great skill, exploring what the French-speaking world means to them and the difficult, often problematic conditions under which it was formed. At times, they connected the subject to their personal histories, while also reflecting on how speaking French has proven beneficial in their lives.

"Our budding Ambassadors were truly impressive in their ability to present their ideas in front of a public, as well as exchange and collaborate with their peers on the topic of Francophonie!", Laurence CHAMPOMIER, Sausalito Principal, says.

They developed valuable skills, including how to express their thoughts clearly and persuasively—essential for both personal and professional communication. They honed their critical thinking by engaging with complex topics like the French-speaking world and its history, learning to research, analyze, and evaluate. They also had the opportunity to express their unique perspectives and work to convince and engage their audience. Finally, this experience likely boosted their confidence in public speaking.

And the winners are... Matthew and Sen (1st), Juliette (2nd), Caleb (3rd). The "coup de coeur" of the jury is Andrew.

The next step is for them to go to Boston to compete against the winners of other Lycées in North America (ZAN). Go Bears!

However, the challenge does not end with college admissions and the ability to adapt and succeed in the new university environment is just as critical.

Before children begin using books, paper, pens, or tablets, they first learn how to live together, build friendships, and resolve conflicts. These fundamental, lifelong social skills are initially practiced on the playground and then intentionally nurtured through circle time, reading, class discussions, school plays, and clubs.
