Renegade Orchestra Resonates Through The Walls of Lycée!

On DEC 13, Middle and High school students were invited to watch a concert performed by the Renegade Orchestra. The local San Franciscan band offers "the beauty of a symphony and the soul of a rock band", a combination that immersed students in an intriguing and groovy musical universe.

Organized by our talented music teacher Magali SANCARTIER, herself a member of the band, this event allowed students to discover the beauty of classical instruments while revisiting some great classics like Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, Metallica, Hallelujah, and Carol of the Bells.

Midway through the show, the audience had the pleasure of seeing 6 well-known guests join the stage...Our students from the Lycée Orchestra joined forces with the band, delivering an amazing performance blending with the strings of violins, double bass, bass, and guitar. The ensemble of strings resonated with the students, and some even rose from their seats to dance and applaud to the rhythm of the music.

A musical Open Learning opportunity

This event provided our Lycée Orchestra students with the unique opportunity to play with and learn from  music professionals while experiencing the stressful thrill of performing in front of a large audience! The warm reception they received will undoubtedly motivate them to renew the experience soon!

Before children begin using books, paper, pens, or tablets, they first learn how to live together, build friendships, and resolve conflicts. These fundamental, lifelong social skills are initially practiced on the playground and then intentionally nurtured through circle time, reading, class discussions, school plays, and clubs.

Our students participated in the AAEH contest

The theme of the 2025 edition is 'Francophonie: A Journey Through Time and Space'. Our students tackled this challenging topic with great skill, exploring what the French-speaking world means to them and the difficult, often problematic conditions under which it was formed. At times, they connected the subject to their personal histories, while also reflecting on how speaking French has proven beneficial in their lives.
