Student success: Zoe awarded for her poem

 Gr8 Student awarded Honorable Mention at the Scholastic Writing Competition

Zoe was awarded Honorable Mention at the Scholastic writing competition for her poem, entitled "Falling Leaf".
Well done Zoe! You can be very proud of yourself!
Congrats to her English teacher John HANLON as well!

A Falling Leaf

Down in little spirals I go.
Down a thick trunk with branches,
On which I used to grow.
Down to the dirt that sits cold and still.
Down where other leaves have fallen,
And always will.
Down since I went from green,
To yellow, orange, and red.
And now that almost all leaves have fallen
Snowflakes will fall instead.
Down, deep, deep, down,
Down, to where leaves turn brown.
Down I go since autumn is here.
Down, down, down, now the floor is near.
Now, silent and content I will tumble down,
And finally rest upon the ground.
