Starting the school year, especially for the very first time, is an exciting change for both children and their parents or guardians! In this post, we explain what to expect and offer tips and tools to help you navigate this important transition with confidence and support your child during this journey. The goal is not to avoid all uncomfortable feelings but to recognize that it is normal to feel that way and that new and unknown situations can be challenging.

Mireille grew up in the Paris region. She owns a BA in Education and Training as well as a primary teaching degree. Her teaching career started in France in 2004 and took her to Los Angeles, San Francisco and London. In 2015, led by her entrepreneurial mindset and her desire to promote high quality early childhood education, she founded and operated a French immersion preschool in San Mateo. Mireille loves photography and the great outdoors, she is also part of the LFSF amateur theater troupe.
She joined the admissions team in 2021 and is delighted to guide families through the process of choosing the best education for their children.
Child and adolescent psychiatrist by training, former intern and head of clinic at Paris Hospitals, Anne has a Master's degree in Neuroscience and writes books for parents, educators and pre-teens.
She has been our Wellness Coordinator at the Lycée for 2 years.
