THE GIFT OF BILINGUALISM, An investment in the future
At the Lycée Français de San Francisco, tuition is first and foremost an investment in a high-quality bilingual and international education. Our students benefit from a demanding academic program, a strong multilingual environment, and globally oriented learning experiences that lead to excellent academic outcomes and long-term success. Within this framework, our tuition structure is designed to support not only educational excellence, but also the overall student experience and daily life at school.
We design tuition to support a coherent student experience and simplify daily life
Families joining the Lycée benefit from a tuition model designed to provide a convenient, clear, and comprehensive school experience from the start.
The Lycée is redefining tuition. Beyond our exceptional educational offer, it now also includes:
- Fresh and sustainable lunches with the Lycée Cantine,
- Global Learning Educational trips for Gr 1 thru Gr12, or
- Before- and after-school care for Preschool students, including Kindergarten (extended to Gr 1 thru 5 on the Sausalito campus)
By simplifying the school experience for families, this model ensures consistency, convenience, and exceptional value—while supporting student learning, well-being, and engagement every day.
24%
Is the percentage of Lycée students who received financial aid in 2024-2025. It is a focus of our school to work with families and make our school affordable to them.
Over 83% is Lycée funded
For 2024-25 school year, the total aid to families represented $2.48M of which $2.04M* were funded by Lycée and the remainder by the French Government.
The Value of our exceptional Independent School education
We believe the Lycée stands among the finest international schools in the Bay Area—and as the most compelling local option for families seeking to prepare their children to become active, engaged global citizens.
Together, we are committed to strategically managing tuition levels by aligning them closely with operating costs and limiting increases where possible. As a result, the Lycée offers premium educational value—a bilingual curriculum, two distinct academic tracks, dual diploma pathways, and exceptional signature programs spanning global learning, performing arts, leadership, and innovation—at a tuition level that remains more accessible than that of the most expensive independent schools in the Bay Area.
In addition, our financial aid budget grows each year, allowing us to support nearly 25% of our families. This ongoing commitment reflects our priority to ensure affordability, equity, and access, so that every student has the opportunity to thrive at the Lycée.
Running together
At the Lycée, the annual Lycée Cross is a running event that brings students, teachers, and parents together for a community day : from Sausalito to Ortega, with Asbury in between, runners of all ages hit the track to push their limits, cheer for friends, and celebrate the spirit of sports.
A CELEBRATION, A NEW CHAPTER
From their first steps in preschool to their final exams, Seniors grow into curious, resilient, and globally-minded young adults. On Graduation Day, we celebrate their journey and everything they’ve accomplished — academically, personally, and as members of the Lycée community.
