Our High School Admissions Process
There are many good options for you to choose from when it comes to education in the San Francisco Bay Area. Choosing a private school, a bilingual program and an international community is a strategic and deliberate process that we congratulate you for starting now.
Our admissions team will be there all the way to guide you, answer your questions and help you in making the right choice for your child and your family.
FRENCH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENT
From Gr1 and up, students need to have strong enough foundations and vocabulary in French to learn in French and successfully master the skills they will be introduced to. Therefore, students not currently enrolled in a French or an AEFE school will be required to take placement exams to assess their ability to thrive in our program.
Students graduate from LFSF with 2 diplomas: The French Baccalaureate Diploma and the U.S. High School Diploma. These 2 diplomas allow students to search worldwide for their college choices, offering them a world of possibilities!

2023 GRADUATION CEREMONY
Our class of 2023 graduated! It was an emotional moment, as they looked back with nostalgia on their years at LFSF and looked forward with determination to their future. We wish them all the best!
MEET NICOLAS | CLASS OF 2023Nicolas speaks 3 languages and is learning 2 more. He's a Lifer and next year, he’s going to Northeastern University in Boston, but will spend his first semester... in Lisbon!
He is known for his puns (and kindness).
Our Seniors are a fun and eclectic group of 49 impressive students: some who have been at LFSF since preschool - we call them lifers-, and some who only joined recently but quickly called our school home. Our universities acceptances as well as their excellent results to the French Baccalaureate exam illustrate their international-mindedness.
Claire has just been accepted to Yale University and will study African American studies and poetry. By choosing a French international education, her parents - who are English speakers - wanted to offer her and her sisters a global perspective. She's especially proud of the club she created, the Coalition of Black Students and Allies. We wish her the best for next year!
Madeleine (LFSF Alumni) and Charles (LFSF High) are siblings and share a passion for logic and reasoning. They both excel in their own field : Charles was in the US team at the international Olympiades of philosophy in Lisbon and Madeleine just earned the gold medal for the Math national Olympiades.
MORGAN - a wing foil champion
Morgan is a wing foil champion! He started this new sport only two years ago... and he has already outperformed his dad! In June 2022, he went to Oliva, Spain for the first leg of the world cup, and at the end of the month, he will compete in the finale that takes place in the south of France, in Saint-Pierre-la-Mer.
astrid and the buddy program
Integrating a new school can be intimidating, and having a buddy on the first day would make all the difference.
Connections between current and new students over the summer lead to a meeting in person before back to school, with campus tour and pizza party.
A great way to start your LFSF journey!
