ORT | START'UP LYCEE

At the Hult Business School in San Francisco

59 students participated in the 2018 Start'up Lycée, a program teaching young entrepreneurs how to launch a start-up in just 48 hours! Team LUX won 1st Place and will represent LFSF in the finale in Chicago.

ORT | SCIENCE FAIR
FEB 2 

Students from 12pm • Parents from 1:30 -3:30pm

Gr6 and Gr7 will participate in the school science Fair. Each student will compete to represent the LFSF at the San Francisco Science Fair. A conference on immunology will end the award ceremony.

ORT | STUDENT EXCHANGE • TOKYO

Two Gr10 students from the Lycée in Tokyo, Japan arrived to San Francisco and will spend about a month at LFSF. Later in the Spring, two of our LFSF 10th graders will in turn go explore the Nipponese capital city! A benefit we enjoy among members of the AEFE network.

Last week, students from K to Gr5, exchanged gratitude cards. The exchange was organized between 2 grades : K and Gr1, Gr2 and 3, Gr4 and 5.

This activity was part of a series of actions in the classrooms and the library to focus on learning to live together well and respectfully.

We invite you to a presentation and discussion on learning differences and challenge in a bilingual (or multilingual) context. Laure Nastasi-Palacios, French "orthophoniste" (the equivalent to a speech therapist), will facilitate the forum and answer your questions on identification, evaluation and support options.

We need your help

Please bring a rock, a log, a stone or a twig and leave your gift along the garden fence. The rocks will be used to border the beds; as for the logs and twigs, they will be semi-buried to create fertile beds. We will then be ready to sow!!! 


LFSF | CIF (California Interscholastic Federation)

The AES department, is considering becoming a member of the CIF San Francisco Section. If we are successful in obtaining membership for 2018|19 or 2019|20, our school will be eligible to form competitive teams in Fencing, Golf, Tennis, Cross Country, Track & Field.
