Welcome to LFSF

We believe there are many reasons to make the LFSF choice.

The Lycée Français de San Francisco (LFSF) is an independent school, and the leading French immersion school in the SF Bay Area.

At LFSF, our objective is to inspire future generations to make positive and impactful contributions to our world through a multilingual and multicultural education that lasts a lifetime.

We provide a unique educational program accredited by the French Ministry of Education that helps our preschool through 12th grade students build confidence and adaptability in their ever-changing world.

With their French and US diplomas, our graduates carry the excellence of the education they received and the spirit of openness, curiosity and integrity shaped at LFSF.

The benefits of a bilingual education

Lycée Français de San Francisco (LFSF) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization registered with the State of California and accredited by the French government, as well as by CAIS (California Association of Independent Schools), and WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges).

EXPLORE SOME MORE

"Our two children have been at the Lycee since nursery school (Ashbury campus) and are now in middle school and high school (Ortega campus). We selected the Lycee for the following reasons: it's the "French" French school, the teachers are top notch, the curriculum is rigorous, the college acceptance list is impressive, it's affordable as compared to other private schools, the class trips are amazing (e.g., Morocco, Mexico City...), there are a huge variety of programs (e.g., technovation for girls), the campuses are homey and safe, classroom sizes are small, the administration is efficient and caring, and the community is open and vibrant. Our children are perfectly bilingual (and becoming trilingual), have close friends, and are on the path to being multicultural global citizens."Current Parent | Review found on Niche

LFSF, the right choice for many families

LFSF @ Sausalito : bilingual education with a Marin flair

This year, our dynamic admissions team has been meeting with a growing number of families moving to Marin in search of a different lifestyle. The attraction of our open campus, safely tucked away, all on one level, filled with light, offering lots of green and open spaces, increasingly seduces families who, for some, make the choice of this campus, even when residing in the city!

Although LFSF is the first choice of many French and francophone parents in the Bay Area, it also attracts diverse and internationally minded families who want to give their child the gift of bilingualism.

"We chose a French school for our daughter – and we’re not French!"

When LFSF parents Jennielyn and Jaime ROSSI were looking for a preschool for their daughter, they were drawn to the LFSF bilingual education and curriculum. Today Gigi is in Gr1 and her academic and social development have been remarkable. "She is growing up in a multilingual environment that places great value in providing young people with a strong foundation of academic, social, emotional and physical skills".
