Who they are and where do they go : Class of 2026
Our Seniors are a fun and eclectic group of 28 impressive students: some who have been at the Lycée since preschool - we call them lifers-, and some who only joined recently but quickly called our school home.
Our students' university acceptances and their outstanding results reflect their exceptional mastery of both French and U.S. educational systems and highlight their global perspective.

MARGOT AND MARGAUX
Best friends and fellow seniors, Margot and Margaux both found their voice through Lycée's theater program and the tight-knit friendships a small school makes possible. This fall, they'll pursue the dual-degree Sciences Po–Berkeley program together — one with a Europe–North America focus, the other Asia-Pacific — before reuniting at UC Berkeley to complete their studies in the social sciences and humanities.
DYLAN
A Lycée lifer since age three, Dylan discovered his passion for fashion design in 10th grade, teaching himself to create his own clothes by hand. Guided by a teacher who helped him build his portfolio, he heads to Parsons School of Design this fall to study fashion design — dreaming of one day owning a store that feels more like an exhibit than a shop.

WHERE DO THEY GO
- A record 91% of our Seniors chose to continue their educational journey in North America, 14% of them enrolling in Canadian universities.
- 6% will go to Europe, including 2% to France.
- Together, our 28 Seniors completed 363 college applications and received 179 acceptances, 67 waitlist offers and 4 guaranteed transfer offers in 77 Universities across 8 countries (USA, Canada, UK, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, Germany, Spain)
This demonstrates the strength of our program and how their unique profile is helping them in their applications in some of the best universities worldwide.
A historic milestone —the highest UC Berkeley acceptance rate in our school's history!
UC Berkeley, the #1 public school in the USA, received 150,075 applications this year. 23 Lycée students applied to the East Bay university and 8 were admitted providing the Lycée with at a rate more than 3x higher than Berkeley's overall acceptance rate! Among SF independent schools, the Lycée produced the highest UC Berkeley acceptance rate in the city for the Class of 2026 — a school record.
CANADA, STILL A DESTINATION OF CHOICE
4 students opted to apply in Canada (McGill and Concordia). Quebec is a province of choice, and a natural bilingual and cultural fit for our students who can also benefit from extra credit and tuition discounts.
McGill, #1 public school in Canada and #27 world ranking, accepted 10 out of 12 Lycée applicants this year, for a remarkable 83% admission rate.
LEILA
A passionate student of history and geopolitics, Leila found her creative home in the Lycée's theater program, cherishing the collective effort of bringing a production to life. Depending on her results this June, she'll pursue political science or economics in a bilingual environment — whether at a university in Montreal or in France — with an eye toward law or journalism.
BRODY AND ISSEY
Best friends since their first day of school, Brody and Issey have shared a decade-plus Lycée journey together. Both lifers in spirit — Brody in San Francisco since kindergarten, Issey having joined after years abroad — they head off this fall to pursue engineering: Brody to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Issey to Harvey Mudd, where he'll also compete as a student-athlete on the soccer team.

Rooted in Purpose: How the Lycée Prepares Students for College and Beyond
College Counselor Natalie BITTON shares her philosophy on guiding seniors through admissions season, what defines the Class of 2026, and how the Lycée's approach, rooted in relationship, fit, and bilingual identity, best prepares students for universities worldwide.
GUNNAR
Raised in an US speaking family, Gunnar embraced learning an entirely new language at the Lycée. A hands-on learner passionate about cars, he's proudest of his 10th-grade internship at a lowrider garage, where he learned the business firsthand. This fall, he heads to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to study Comparative Ethnic Studies — grateful for the teachers and moments that shaped his journey.
LILY AND CHLOE
Lily and Chloé met as young students on the Sausalito and Ashbury campuses and grew into best friends by 9th grade. Looking back on years of travel, tight-knit community, and teachers who shaped their passions, they head off this fall to Duke University and UC Berkeley — carrying their Lycée journey with them.

Our Class of 2026 represents the international character of our beloved community. Together, our 28 Seniors speak 13 languages and represent 17 nationalities!
