Happy Play [age 1-3]
Welcome to Happy Play
Happy Play is a program of playful classes designed especially for you and your child. Its content caters to the development of bright-eyed children between the age of 1 and 3.
EVERY TUESDAY ON OUR SAUSALITO CAMPUS
The hour long sessions introduce children to the fun of bilingualism with stories, songs, dance and hands-on activities guaranteed to delight and entertain your toddler. Whether your family already speaks French or is entirely new to this language, it doesn't matter!
Why this is important
Research shows that because of the way their brain develops, younger children have a greater ability to learn foreign languages. During our Happy play sessions, your child will hear and learn French in a loving, natural and playful way. Children who are educated in a second language, particularly those who learn in an immersion setting, demonstrate increased mental flexibility and creative thinking. That's what we refer to as the gift of bilingualism.
Music and playtime activities help children in their language acquisition while parents, who might be learning alongside their children, are able to participate in discussions on their children’s development.
MORE ABOUT Happy Play
Happy play is hosted on our beautiful Sausalito campus. A room of the Marin campus, nested in the Sausalito foothills, is dedicated to this program. Easy to access (right at the 101 highway exit) and to park, Happy Play is super convenient.
Classes are led by Nathalie. Nathalie is a highly experienced preschool teacher who has been working at LFSF for many years and is very familiar with welcoming unschooled children who are not familiar with the French - or even the English-language. Classes may also feature guest teachers for various activities.
With Happy Play, 1 to 3 years old children can get a head start in their bilingual journey with activities tailored to their young age. Children can be accompanied by a parent, a grandparent or a caretaker.

Cost: Individual classes are $30.
Bundle and Save: Enroll for the whole term and get 1 free class.
Registration: Classes require some preparation and registration is required. Drop-in is not an option. Please note that space is limited.

At the Lycée, we learn through a wide range of playful activities that promote expression and language production and support bilingual learning such as coloring and story telling.
