THEATER | Being Cyrano (Dans la peau de Cyrano)

WHEN: OCT 14 at 7:30 PM

ABOUT THE PLAY:

Young Colin, often ostracised for his 'differences,' has recently discovered his hidden admiration for the theatrical arts. In a revelation, Colin created the character of Cyrano de Bergerac, with whom he shares many commonalities. From his handicap and his solitude, to his incapacity to express his true feeling to the ones he loves. Under the guidance of his theatre teacher, Colin will completely submerge himself in Cyrano's skin. Will Colin and Cyrano finally learn to accept themselves as they are?

A comic yet poetic performance, one incredible actor embodies seven characters to portray how the legendary Cyrano de Bergerac came to life. The original Cyrano de Bergerac by Edmond Rothstand was first performed in 1897 and has inspired numerous sbsequent works, including the play and feature film Edmond, by Alexis Michalik. This contemporary piece has been performed over 600 times, and now lands at Paris' Lucernaire Theatre, just steps from the Luxembourg Gardens.
